选择了特别的一天（8.16）作为我的GRE作文考试

只是为了怀念 并不为了幸运

因为今天是我爸爸的B-day 但他已不在我的身边 但会永远在我的心里

今天的考试很刺激 本来语言乏力的我 面对屏幕时已经接近枯萎 但深吸了一口气 还是活下来了

issue没有遇到自己感兴趣的topic 一个是arts 一个是laws and moral behaviors关系的社会问题

argument还算简单 也算是幸运吧 关于mopeds的那个 （简简单单三个错 就别再找茬儿了） 

最后选了四个送分学校（UMi UNC UA JHU）笔考选的北语(1)和北大(2) 

给自己的表现打70吧^_^ 

 

买了明天的车票 （T11 10:00 北京站>>>>沈阳北）

今晚在德国的柏林  两只伟大的球队又将为所有钟爱他们的球迷送上“激情”与“欢乐”

感性的Agentina ＋ 理性的Germany ＝ a classical match

-----也许  面对无比自信的host  Agentina会遇到杯赛以来最大的挑战  but u must be the champion

Maximiliano ‘Maxi’ Rodriguez was an important player for Argentina in their successful 2001 FIFA World Youth Championship campaign, scoring four goals, including one in the final.

He started his career at Newell’s Old Boys, moved to Real Zaragoza in Spain and then switched to Espanyol. Maxi, who can play as a forward or an attacking midfielder, played in his first FIFA World Cup™ qualifier as a substitute in a 4-2 win over Uruguay in late 2004.

The playmaker is gearing up for a date with Mexico, the next hurdle facing his side as they look to bring home the FIFA World Cup Trophy for the first time in 20 years.

With his mind firmly set on celebrating his big day in style, Riquelme spoke exclusively to FIFAworldcup.com about the importance of having survived the dreaded Group C, his feelings on the tournament so far, and Argentina’s next opponents. "We have absolutely no margin for error," he warned.

Señor Riquelme, having just missed out on selection for previous FIFA World Cup finals how do you feel about finally making it?
FIFAworldcup.com: It's just wonderful to be here. Naturally, I'm very happy about fulfilling one of the biggest ambitions of my footballing career and I'm trying to enjoy the experience as much as I can.

A lot was said about the difficulty of the group you were drawn in, but the team passed the test with flying colours.
The group was really tough and there were some very competitive teams in there. That makes qualifying all the greater an achievement. It was a shame we couldn't beat the Netherlands, despite our best efforts, but we’re delighted about achieving our goal and the way in which we did it.

What was most impressive about Argentina in the first phase?
We were faithful to our style, which is what we’re known for. We always try to take control of games and we always try to win, no matter who we’re playing. We are very pleased about how things are working out and I just hope we can keep it going.

What has been the best thing about the team so far?
(Pauses) I couldn’t tell you. I think the team’s doing exceptionally well. The game against the Netherlands was an opportunity for some of the guys who haven't played yet. The fact that they did so well is very important for us. That shows the team has a gameplan and is capable of sticking to it even when new players come in.

You have always said you need to be happy in order to perform out on the pitch. Do you feel at ease in this team?
Very much so. As long as I’m playing I’m happy, whether it be for Argentina or my club. In fact, every time I run out onto a football pitch I feel happy. It’s all I need.

Your next game is against Mexico in the second round. What do you know about them?
They’re a hard side to play against. They usually perform very well and they play attractive, open football. They made life hard for us last year in the Confederations Cup and we need to be very focused against them. We have to make sure we don’t make any errors because if we do, we’ll be on the plane home. We’re confident we can get it right though.

One last question. What is your main objective at this moment in time?
My biggest dream is to go all the way in the World Cup. I hope we can reach the Final in Berlin. That would be just wonderful.

What Is an Argument?

 

A scholarly essay is an exercise in developing and defending ideas. Although the heart of a paper is the single idea that you want to explore or defend, most of your paper--and probably most of the time you spend writing--will be devoted to the reason or reasons why your reader should believe that your thesis is valid. This analysis and explanation of your claim is called an argument. In effect, the argument of your essay is an answer to the question Why is the central idea or thesis of this paper valid or plausible?

自我总结

（1）Argument 1～70的outline准备完成（中文），发现中文的大纲影响最后用英文成文，所以以后的outline用英文准备

（2）May-8 and May-9 结了两们课，一个presentation和一个paper test，所以腾出来的时间需要重新规划

8 The following appeared in a memorandum issued by the strategic planning department at Omni Inc.

 

“Meas Foods, a manufacture of snack foods that currently markets its products within a relatively small region of the country, has strong growth potential . Mesa enjoyed a 20 percent increase in profits last year, and its best-selling product, Diabolique Salsa, has had increased sales over each of the past three years. Since Omni Inc. is interested in reaching 14-to-25 year olds, the age group that consumes the most snack food, we should buy Mesa Foods, and concentrated in particular on marketing Diabolique Salsa throughout the country.”

The notion that Mesa Foods has strong growth potential seems reasonable at first glance. After all , with the sales of Diabolique Salsa increasing, Mesa Foods enjoyed a 20 percent increase in benefits last year. However, the conclusion that Omni Inc. should buy Mesa Foods and concentrate in particular on marketing Diabolique Salsa throughout the country may overlook some (potentially more significant) necessary investigation for buying to Mesa Foods and lack comprehensive analysis of the relationship between the two companies.

 

 

First of all, as mentioned in this argument that Diabolique Salsa, the best-selling product, has had increased in sales over each of the past three years, However, the increasing sales of Diabolique Salsa could do not play a major role in compelling the profits. It may, in fact, be the continuous discount (or low price) of Diabolique Salsa that made Diabolique Salsa become the best-selling product and gave rise to the increasing sales. Granted there was a big amount of sales, the proportion of profits due to the sales increasing may be lower than what other products contributed to. Therefore, without taking account of the price, a heavy amount of sales does not means a big proportion of profits. Moreover, 20 percent increase in profits of last year does not represents a sustained benefits growth in the past several other years and future years completely, and shed the light of “strong” growth potential on the Mesa Foods.  

 

 

The argument mentioned above is weakened by the fact that it does not differentiate the market of relatively small region and the whole country. The conclusion that Omni Inc. should buy Mesa Foods suggests that it is presumed that the increase in profits enjoyed by Mesa Foods in relatively region last year will be obtained by Omni Inc. in the whole country. This is certainly not the case. For example, more older and retired people residents in relatively region because of the lower consumption level and tranquiller living environment. And the most products of Mesa Foods meet their demands of taste and nutrition. Nevertheless, the Omni Inc. is interested in reaching the demands of 14-25 year olds.

 

 

It is admitted that Mesa Foods has strong growth potential and Omni Inc. should buy it. However, Omni Inc. has not adequate grounds in marketing the Diabolique Salsa nationwide and particularly. There is also no evidence provided by authoritative institute that Diabolique Salsa will reprise its best-selling performance throughout the country.

 

 

Finally, before the conclusion that Omni Inc. should buy Mesa Foods and market Diabolique Salsa throughout the country, complete and comprehensive investigation and analysis are more important than the final determination.

五一这几天的复习，实话实说，效率不高！

类比与反义的大体框架和逻辑思路有了雏形，但充斥着大量刺眼的生词，^_^，见一个，灭一个！

填空听老罗的课，还是有思路的，就TM逻辑么，破题！

阅读，Wow....逻辑结构太深奥，笔考的时候遇到’文学评论‘型文章，就栽了！

 

但总的来说，效率很低，低的让你无法想象，有种穿双拖鞋去百米的感觉，想冲刺，但脚底下没跟。

整天总是昏沉，想看书，但无意中会凝神，感觉身体很疲惫。

 

无意中拜读了林语堂的《体力与事业》，虽知身体是革命的本钱，但从中似乎又觅新鲜，找到了效率低下的结症，择摘几句献给为了事业而奋斗着的朋友们

言归正传，回到路上。

 

今天开始扫作文的题库了，先从Argument扫起，给自己定的目标是两周半，就是平均一天15个左右。

现在平均准备Argument一题的时间在15min左右，画出逻辑框架图，找出逻辑错误，列出大纲，总之现在还不算很系统，效率与系统性要提高。

暂时不想去网上看别人的大纲，等扫完题库，再‘互通有无’吧。
